Sidewalk Chalk
Okay, so this whole posting thing reminds me more and more of scrapbooking - I'm forever behind and can't decide whether to start from the beginning or skip ahead to the present. Today, I'm going back to earlier this summer (yes, again!) to show Cole getting to know his sidewalk chalk. Grandma Diane sent it to him and will be glad to know he's moved past organizing the case and really gotten into 'writing' with it. That's what he was doing this morning while we had roofers across the street, guys cutting down trees in our next door neighbor's yard as well as ours, and most importantly two very nice guys installing a new air conditioner unit for us. Aawwhhawwhhaawwwwhhhh (or whatever angels singing sounds like in your head)
Anyway, I didn't take pictures today so please enjoy the ones I took the first day Cole received his great case of sidewalk chalk.

Going to the Game
Okay, so this is my last post for the day - I think I've done three (!!). However, tonight we will be going to our third Twins' game. It'll be our first this season and the tickets come courtesy of our most fantastic neighbors.
Update: It was a great game! The Twins won! Yay! We got lots of good shots and will be sharing those with you soon. And, there were two cute babies sitting in front of us that kept Cole entertained - the kid loves babies! Cole also got really into the game - cheering, clapping, all of it - he had a blast! Lastly, we saw at least 3 baseball bats break upon impact last night - kinda scary since I've heard of people getting injured from the flying remnants but luckily that was not the case last night.
Update 2: Pics
As you can see it was a real nail biter there for a while!

COMEONCOMEONCOMEON!!!

Oh, I can't not watch though either!
But as we know - in the end it was the Twins who walked away with the big win...too bad it didn't last but they're just one big win behind so you never know...
Too Cute Not to Have a Look
Sorry that we're kinda minimalist with our blog entries - we realize it's a bit ironic since we're both writers. Anyway, I hope the pictures will tell the tales themselves! Here are a few more favorite shots from late spring/early summer.

Lake Harriet Train Ride
These are some pics from Father's Day when we went down to Lake Calhoun and Lake Harriet to ride the train. It was Cole's first time (ours too now that I think about it) and he wanted to ride it again and again.
Cole paying the fare.

Anticipation builds.
And we're off! They were very excited - can you tell? :)
And a new Father's Day tradition was born...

What'd I do? (Honestly neither of us remember now!)
Here's what the rest of the train's interior looks like!
Time to go (for real this time!)

What a Splash
Here are some photos from earlier this week of Cole enjoying the water or as he calls it (the) 'all wet'. The first shot is of him and his newest best bud. Some of his other new friends are in bottom shots (I'll include closer shots once I have their permission). I'm still planning on posting older shots from visits, 4th of July, and whatnot but sensed it was a good time to update the blog with something, anything. :) Enjoy!
